The New Labour Codes: From Implementation to Impact

As part of a joint learning initiative, NIPM Hosur Chapter and the Hosur Industries Association (HIA) conducted a two-day masterclass on the new Labour Codes at the HIA premises in Hosur.

The programme was designed to help HR professionals, legal teams, line managers and industry practitioners understand the practical implications of India’s evolving labour framework and prepare their organisations for effective implementation.

The masterclass covered the four Labour Codes:

• Code on Wages
• Industrial Relations Code
• Code on Social Security
• Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions Code

Participants gained practical insight into the major changes the Codes introduce and their impact on HR functions, wage structuring, employee benefits, statutory compliance and Employee Relations, along with approaches to organisational preparedness and implementation.

Sessions were led by experienced industry and legal professionals, bringing practical industry experience together with legal perspective so that participants could understand the transition from regulatory change to workplace implementation.

The initiative reflected the Chapter’s continued commitment to industry-relevant learning, professional development and practical HR & IR knowledge for the regional professional community.
